Astles Polydose Double Wall Tubing

Astles supply polydose double-wall tubing and accessories for chemical supply lines in industrial environments.  Astles Polydose double-wall tubing provides a self-contained leak protection system by running the chemical dosing hose through a second, larger hose, so that if the dosing hose were to rupture, the leak would be contained by the outer hose.  The polydose tubing does not then need to be installed in additional containment, allowing greater freedom of installation by zip-tying to cable tray instead.

Inner hose has dimensions of 6/12 or 10/16, outer hose has dimensions of 25/31.

Astles supply open and closed terminations to the outer hose, to allow or prevent leaked chemical from exiting the outer hose as required.

• The open bulkhead terminations are fitted to Astles stainless-steel pumps stands, above the drip trays.  They have a large diameter hole bored through the centre, so that any leaked chemical will run back to the open termination and drain into the pump stand drip tray.  A float switch in the drop tray will raise an alarm on the PC500 when it detects a leak.

• The closed terminations are fitted at the field end of the tubing, for example at suction points or dosing points.  They have a small diameter hole with an O-ring seal around the inner hose.  Any chemical leak from the inner hose will not be able to pass the O-ring, allowing you to identify the leak and replace the tubing.
